Cherry Beach Rehearsal Studios

Cherry Beach Rehearsal Studios has been host to a number of musicians over the years, some leasing rooms on a yearly basis, others working on pre-production, holding auditions, or passing through while on tour.

The rehearsal rooms are approximately 450 sq. ft., with acoustic treatment in every room. Rooms feature alarms, 24 hour access, heat, A/C, and security monitoring.

Pro Rehearsal & Backline

PRB Pro Rehearsal & Backline offers musicians three hour blocks in fully equipped reheasal rooms.  Rooms include PA's, mics, drum kit, and amps.  Run by Bruce Moffet and Kathy Anonsen, with the help of Flip, contact them for booking and further information at 416-693-1816.

Warehouse

Location - Tour Rehearsal - Set Construction - Recording - Events - Crew Lunch - Storage

The warehouse is a large 10,000 square foot multi-use space, forty feet high along the centre, with original wooden beams and pillars.

Large touring acts block rent the warehouse for rehearsal before heading out on the road.  The room has a stage-like atmosphere with blacks and par cans, and provides adequate power for running FOH and monitor rigs. AC/DC, Amanda Marshall, Big Sugar, Big Wreck, and the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have all rehearsed in the warehouse.

The unique atmosphere has lent itself to numerous recordings and movie shoots, notably Kim Mitchell's Aural Fixations, Lawrence Gowan's But You Can Call Me Larry, and David Cronenberg's film Naked Lunch.

To record we run tie lines to the main control room of Studio 1, where the band is monitored via remote video.  The natural acoustic reverberation of the room gives the music a live feel, without being overpowering.
